true redhead

My mother-in-law sent me this magazine article a couple of years ago. I wasn't sure what to do with it, but I thought the "true redhead" percentage was pretty amazing--only 2% of the world. I used to have the same hair color as my girls, but once I entered my 20's it started to darken. Now I am a part of the $123 million/year that is spent on red hair dye. (I just get a few highlights.) The article says that by the year 2100, true redheads will be extinct since the carriers of the carrot-top gene are less and less likely to pair up in our age of global intermingling. I did this layout before I had Seth--now I have three true redheads!

If you use an original copy of a magazine article, be sure and use some Archival Mist by EK Success on the article before you paste it down to your layout. This will ensure your layout isn't ruined over time.

Love it! I just wish I'd saved that article from my dad's Nat'l Geographic! Hmmm....I may have to go thru his stash of old magazines in the garage now...

This is so cool, Brenda. Your mom and dad showed me your blog last night and I signed up to follow you and see all you absolutely lovely pix and layouts!
Great job on your first month blogging--you did more than I've done in about 3 years!
(and BTW to Christine, you might be able to find the article online and print it on archival paper--good luck).
Happy to get connected--
